OUR CREDENTIALS FOR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT AND FRESH MARKETING

Led by Jay Gronlund, The Pathfinder Group has been helping companies grow for over 20 years.  We start by providing a different perspective that helps our clients define their problem, issues and/or best opportunities in a new light (Einstein once commented that understanding the problem is as important as the solution).  As appropriate, we manage market research progams that determine the realistic growth potential and evaluate new ideas or initiatives for expansion (or a business turn-around), then follow this with a detailed recommendation on how to grow.  As appropriate, we usually continue playing an integral role in the business development initiative, always adding a unique "hook" for new ideas and marketing tactics

What We Offer:

  • Market Entry Experience - for over two decades, we have helped B2C and B2B companies of all sizes and types gain entry in important markets in the world, including foreign companies expanding into the U.S. (see examples/case studies).  We work with in-market consultants or local researchers (the Pathfinder Global Network) who intimately know the nuances of their country, including invaluable connections, to help bridge cultural gaps and adapt to local practices.

  • Re-Positioning Brands - from concept to actual implementation, Gronlund's entire career at large corporations and on an entrepreneurial level has involved new product/business development, with revitalizing brands always at the core of these practices.  This also includes customized workshops that focus on strategic marketing and positioning challenges, with immediate application for reversing the fortunes of our client.

  • Ideation Sessions - often called "structured brainstorming", ideation can be a powerful technique for innovation.  We work closely with senior management to ensure their visible, credible commitment, develop a clear problem/opportunity brief, prepare the participants with homework assignments, questionnaires/exercises, and relevant research findings, and then facilitate the actual ideation session - e.g. with appropriate props, ideal setting, benchmark case studies and analogies, creative, idea-generating techniques, etc.  When appropriate, we also help implement these new ideas going forward, often the biggest challenge.  In short, we help build a new culture of innovation for our clients.
